Man that's tough. I think I actually find a fold here. I can't imagine him raising anything that you have beat here. He limped preflop. I guess it could be an overzealous KQ or KJ, but without a read I fold.
By the way I don't like your new avatar. Not that it's bad, but it's a step down from that beautiful vixen you had.
By the way, that's Jennifer Tilly in mine. She owns a world series bracelet in case you didn't know.

It's not what's inside that counts. Have you seen what's inside?
Internal organs. And they're getting uglier by the minute.

I dunno, bro, I shove this down the guy's throat. He was in the SB. Sometimes from the SB I'll just limp AK because I'm out of position. Dude could have AK. 33 and 44 are doubtful, but a possibility too. I think somebody's getting jiggy with a KQ or AK here.
So what happened?

Ouch.
On second thought, I say fold this. Definitely fold.
I guess with him showing so much stength I should have said that earlier, but I didn't think he had a set. I just don't see a set playing it that damn fast on a non-scary board like that. 33 or 44 just seemed doubtful, too, because all four cards would have to be in play, but they most definitely would.
I have seen AK do this before though, that's why I said push.
Hopefully you made it all back a few hands after this happened.

I left after this hand as i was then tilted badly.. i had lost 100 on another hand a few minutes earlier with a straight, beat by FH (my first hand at the table, nice welcome)
so i left there, and started fresh today.. proceeded to get sucked out on for another 100.. then got slapped in the face with cards and am now back where i started. total bankroll at $1400 US.. nice little 300 down 300 up swing.. i made some errors though...

Rich, I think you got emotional about this hand. That's why you lost your stack. Detach yourself and think logically. The reason I say is because I feel like the way this hand progressed, you knew in your stomach that you were beat by at least K4 or K3. Unless you have a clear loose read on someone, it's not worth going extra deep with them in a moment of uncertainty. When in doubt, grind it out. Let the homeruns hit themselves at this level.

Man - with one more catchy, insightful phrase this would have become my sig. So close. Seriously, useful though.
I was just rereading Super System last week. Brunson says that bottom 2 pair is not a hand to get all the money in with. He has lost a lot of money with it, probably in cases like this.

I'd say you are probably right, i was most likely semi tilted from busting a stack with the straight a few mins earlier... Probably thought "wow look at all the damn money going into this pot, i'm gonna be back up again" and didnt even really think it through

Yeh i might have to go with this, particular in deeper money.. perhaps a good hand to bust the short stacks with when they get excited and push top pair weak kicker
