I was pretty confident that they were all scared of the J since they all bet/called the other betting rounds, and I had a tight image since I'd only been showing down good hands... so I figured "Hey, I have chips, let's see what happens" and threw out that 1/3 pot bet. I figured I'd just ditch the hand if anyone did come back at me.

what are you doing? why would u ever call the flop and turn? I don't want to sound harsh, sorry im overeacting. You really shouldn't call flop and turn bets with that hand. It's a major leak. I assume the flop call was because "it's only 30 chips." It doesn't matter if it's 30 chips, it's bad pot odds. the turn... inside straight draws suck, fold them.
Check out the new blog!!!

hey shaun, how is poker going for you?

for the post - i'm pretty inexperienced with SNGs, but I don't think this is a very+ev play (on any street). that being said if you had a solid read on all 4 players in the pot more power to you...but most of the time it's an unecessary shot in the dark (and so is calling flop, turn).

calling 30 into a 600 pot on the flop with position and 180 into an 1100 chip pot (6:1) on the turn with a double gutshot straight and a rainbow board is probably okay but you have to lay this hand down preflop into a raised pot.

sorry misread post, the flop I'd still just fold, but the turn is fine, not good but fine. The river trying to bluff that pot isn't a great idea. A min raise on the turn would make me think someone has a 2.
