I bet it.

Flush draw folds, AJ/KJ call, hands that beat you raise. A raise is a slowplay though, not a bluff.

I personally bet $4 on flop, $12 on turn, stack on river.
I dont see any reason why you are raising so passivley.
If he was gonna check raise you, he prob woulda done it on the turn.
SB only has 50BB's im sure he will gladly give it all to you if you ask. These probe bets you throw at him almost invite him to chase flush/value bet river, my advice would be:

LAY DOWN THE ****ING HAMMER

A little bigger bets can make it so much easier to get it in when you want...

That is exactly what happened, i bet it he pushed over the top and its only a few more bucks to call. He shows A8.
I dont know what i was thinking as during the hand I didnt realize how small my bets are but as soon as I looked back on it I was thinking wtf?? I'm an idiot.

What's wrong with the 1/2 pot bets here? They still don't have odds to chase the flush. I usually bet higher when a draw exists, but 1/2 pot isn't that bad.

He bet less than 1/2 pot. An extra buck or two on the flop has a nice little cascade effect...

People bet half pot at the lower tables when they miss with overcards - that's why he called with middle pair - he really thought it was good - then it turned out to be so.
Of course - your half pot bets with a hand cause him to call down with middle pair which is not a bad thing - just backfired on this occassion...
Still - I don't F around with aces since it's so often only a pair, and more likely to be called down here by JT or something - so I agree with increasing the bet amounts even headsup - sometimes you just take down a small pot but that
just doesn't bother me...

That's exactly why I think villian won this pot. Pot the flop and he's probably folding.

Smaller raises will result in the following:
-More suckouts
-Less profit
-Opponents will bluff more at you

If a man is chasing a flush draw, you give him 3:1 on a 4:1 draw... the difference between what you give and what he needs is your profit, assuming you dont win a river bet when he misses, and him value betting when he hits, where is your profit coming from? Passive raising will result in VERY small bb/100 and so many suckouts, I can't even count.

I dropped down from full pot to 2/3 pot flop betting, seems to work now. More callers with lesser hands, smaller loss to better hands.

It doesn't depend on the situation or anything...

Poker is about cards not people.

You're right, everything depends with poker.. But it seems to work well at Prima 50NL (weak-tight opps).

If i could summarize my reasoning behind this bet that would be it.
Although now I think I agree:

Especially that last part

This is how I usually bet. Looking back on the last week I attribute my downswing to semi-tilt for reasons unrelated to poker. Thats done now and here comes the profit...!

Note: Especially that last part refers to opponents bluffing at you more. To me that is the worst part of betting smaller.
