I intend to become a gold member at PokerStars in December. That means I need 4000 points. What is the fastest way to do this. I intend to play cash games (NL). 0.5/1 and 1/2. What is the best way to do it? dual table full size table or play one 6 playe table? Any help is welcome.

What kind of games are you more comfortable playing?
I say 2 table, start at the 100NL games and if you are comfortable enough with those and beating them try the 200NL games.
Playing either of those levels you shouldn't have much problem becoming a gold member

At 100nl you should average just under .5 VPP per hand, so you should be able to do it in less than 10k hands. I don't play 200nl but I dont think you get many more VPPs there as you need the pot to hit $20, rather than $8 at 100nl.
There are some FPP/Hand tables for lots of limits at 2p2 in the Internet Gambling forum somewhere.

VPP/Hand No Limit Hold'em full ring:
10 - .0317
25 - .125
50 - .242
100 - .445, .445, .45, .471
200 - .495, .567
400 - .63, .656
600 - .763
1000 - 1.00
The different numbers are different people's samples, althought I don't think FPP variance is something we should be worrying about
