Wanted to post this and get your input. Two parts to this one:
1) Just to give you the scenario, we're down to the last 50 or so people of a MTT with the top 40 getting money. I'm third in chips at the table and in the small blind. I've been playing fairly tight at the table and have not seen much action on my pre-flop raises. In the small blind on this hand. Here's the history:

I understand that he had plenty of outs here, but would you have made the same play at the pot on the turn?
2) After this loss, I had two trips around the table worth of blinds. We're down to the last 41. Next man out is out of the money. On another table, one guy has less than one BB left. I get dealt QQ and get my all-in out flopped by a caller with A9o. My intention was to try to work my way back and win the tournament. I got all my chips in with the best hand pre-flop and it didn't work out. My question is, do you make the same play or do you slow play it and fold to any scare cards hoping that someone else busts out so you can make the money?
FYI Mods: There is no Ace of Diamonds emoticon. Just thought I'd let you know.

i think both times you did right, luck just didn't fall your way. with the flush, good push. he only had 11 outs with the qq, he was way wrong to call with the ace overcard and the flush threat, it was just a tough break. when you got qq a few hands later, easy push, you were way shortstacked, and making it to 40th really doesn't mean crap, winning 13 cents doesn't really seem worth the time, to me anyway.

Thanks for the quick reply. Actually he had 11 outs if you consider that any diamond gives him a higher flush. I feel like I made the right move in both cases but just wanted to get other's opinions.
