Hero: :Ts: :Js:

JTs is not a raising hand for me from any position but I've been reading TAP and it says to occasionaly raise a hand like this to disguise your raising range. I did it as a mix up play. I have been tight so far at this table and I should get some respect.

Pre-flop:

UTG: Fold
UTG+1: Fold
UTG+2: Fold
Hero: Raise 3.00
MP2: Fold
MP3: Fold
CO: Call 3.00
Button/Villian: Call 3.00
SB: Fold
BB: Call 3.00

Flop (Board: :Qc: :Jh: ) (pot = $9.50):

OK, I got a piece of the board and I may have the best hand. I'll C-Bet and see if I can't take it down.

BB: Check
Hero: Bet 8.00
CO: Fold
Button/Villian: Call 8.00 (so much for the respect, hehe)
BB: Fold

Turn (Board: :Qc: :Jh: ) (pot = $25.50):

Weeee, I hit a straight with a freeroll to a flush. I want to play a big pot here.

Hero: Check
Button/Villian: Bet 15.00
Hero: Raise 37.00
Button/Villian: Call 37.00

River (Board: :Qc: :Jh: :Tc: ) (pot = $99.50):

Hero:...?
Oh crap. My hand has totaly been counterfited and I missed the flush.
I have $39.15 behind and Villian has me covered. Throw a blocking bet or do I consider the posibility of him having a better hand (a K) unlikely and try to use some FE by pushing? Your move?
Stakes: Playing $0.10/$0.25 NL

Yeah, I thought so too. I just needed the confirmation because I keep losing every big pot I play and it is messing with my confidence (and my BR).

i know you're not asking for a line on the turn, but i think you should have raised more. make it atleast $45/50. when you raise to 37 he only has to call $22 more for a $100 pot, so while you didn't quite give him the odds to chase with his gutshot, he would have had odds if he had a set or 2-pair.
