Villain is same maniac from earlier.

Party Poker No-Limit Hold'em, $ BB (8 handed) Hand History Converter Tool from FlopTurnRiver.com (Format: FlopTurnRiver)

MP2 ($24.90)
Hero ($25)
Button ($10.76)
SB ($39.80)
BB ($22.90)
UTG ($25.50)
UTG+1 ($23.70)
MP1 ($22.29)

Preflop: Hero is CO with Q, A. SB posts a blind of $0.10.
2 folds, MP1 calls $0.25, MP2 calls $0.25, Hero raises to $1.25, Button calls $1.25, SB (poster) calls $1.15, 1 fold, MP1 calls $1, MP2 calls $1.

I make standard raise with AQo accounting for limpers.Maniac calls(she seems to like calling alot of preflop raises).

Flop: ($6.50) K, Q, 5 (5 players)
SB bets $2, MP1 folds, MP2 folds, Hero folds, Button folds.

This is a very interesting point as I had read the Ace-Queen flop article posted earlier in the NL Hold Em Strategies Forum Sat.I decide to lay this down.

So..............does anyone raise this for info?Call flop and look to raise the turn to resteal the pot? I'm interested as to finding out how some of the others would play this hand vs a maniac.

Final Pot: $8.50

Raising only for info = -EV.

I raise to 1.5 preflop, and I checkfold this flop.

I generally don't mess with middle pair on a suited and connected flop. BTN has yet to act, and it would be even more of a nightmare to play out of position. If I were BTN here I would probably raise with any two and lead the turn with any two.

Maniac could be bluffing, but its doubtful. Why would (even a maniac) someone lead into a preflop raiser on a KQx flop without a hand? Thats a pretty weak and suspicious bet too.

Its really just my own weakness and unwillingness to play middle pair against an unreadable player that would cause me to fold.

i think its not so much that we have middle pair, but the fact that bad maniacs dont lead into the PFR with good hands
