Re-raise pre-flop to isolate and push your edge. ~$5 would work.
When the pot is small, be more inclined to over-bet the flop because of the implied odds against you.

wow...a 3x BB bet with only 79s....damn that's a loose bet, not even in position for a blind steal.
but yeah of all the big hands AK is probably the easiest to go from very strong to crap after the flop, don't slow play that.
