I am at the 1$/2$ tables I have been playing for 5 hours with a lunch break in there and I have roughly 1600$ I get dealt AQo early position and raise to 11$
get like 5 callers...... flop is x x A rainow sor t of connected check to me I bet 40$......... get one caller
turn: A....... I bet 60$..... other guy raises me 100$ he had just sat down and had been eyeballing my stack I raise him all in for another 100$ on top
river X
showdown I showed trips with the Q and he had trips with the K kicker.
It felt right just took a decent bite out of my stack....BTW I doubled my bankroll today and ended up leaving up 1200$

I dont like playing A-Qo from early position.
When he calls your raise he's telling you he has a hand.
Then he calls your 40$ - still has a hand - (you see no red flag here?)
Then he re-raises you - (still no red flag????!!!!!!)
The thing is your post is vague - He could have called with small PP and hit his trips then when the 2nd ace hit's has a full house.... but he gave you tons of opportunity to fold.

I figured him for an Ace. I guess I could of seen him easily calling with AJ or A10. Would you reccomend makiing a small raise early position and hope the AK reraises?
Now that I think about it I could of played it differently. It woudl of been a tough lay down but I surely didn't need to push.

with villain not re-raising Pre-flop, i definately do not look for AK here. I've come to realize many times, when holding trips, Villains will never re-raise without the nut kicker or Boat, imho... I definately can't fold turn but a push is badd, call and see river!

True true I think that this would of been a better choice I should of probably just folded to the raise the more I think about it.

For those that dont realize it by the nature of the post, this is at a live casino. Vs random opponent, at 1/2 NL live (normally the lowest stakes a casino offers), I play it the same way. He's doing this with any A, and if he's a donk which alot of live 1/2 players are, maybe worse hands like JJ-KK. Nh, move on, stack him set-over-set later.
