I was a bit off after some bad beats this night :::cough::: forgive me.

No stats on villian, he hasn't been here an orbit yet. I didn't listen to the little voice saying "Don't slow play moron!"

Best to pop this up on the flop and how much? or do you call one street and jack it up on the turn? The board pairing on the turn made it more difficult, and the river just buried me.

Definitely don't slowplay...sometimes you reraise here on the flop and they fold...that's nothing to be disappointed about...eventually you get paid...but it's hard to get paid when you don't build a pot.

Slowplaying is for relatively unique cirumstances, or to be used against particular players...but it's just flat overused nowadays and it will bite you in the ass more often than not. And the times that it doesn't you usually don't make that much from your hand anyway.

Don't slow-play in an unraised pot.

Raising with the field yet to act might be interpreted as a weaker hand anyway.

I need to tape stuff like this to my monitor. Or get a flashing neon sign.
