This is why I don't like limping 86o pre-flop. Weak two pair against undefined hands in an unraised pot.
I think you have to raise the flop or turn while you probably have the best of it and play poker from there.

Ended up calling and he showed K9s.
Hindsight raising the turn probably would have been the best play. What if he comes back over the top? Give him credit for the straight/set, or push em in?

Raise the flop, raise the turn get it all in.
If he has the straightthen meh, you might get away from getting it all in. This looks like a situation where you have given him credit for a big hand due to his big bets and the board. Does a straight really play this fast unless he has a solid read u like your hand? These types of hand are the reason i play 6 max and not full ring, 86 is a raising hand.

I just fold preflop because of the reverse implied odds and I don't like making decisions. I'm a nit though so...
As played I get to the turn and I don't like the way all the low cards are lining up and I remember that it was a limped pot so I make it 15 to see the river. If he pushes I fold if he doesn't I value bet the river.

fold preflop.
And when you hit that flop like a monster you play it bad. I probably re-raise flop. raise turn. call river.
