Please try to formulate a reply to this hand before you read the results and tell me how you would play it

So far villain has shown himself to be quite a caller, so his flop call didnt bother me. River I kinda wanted a cheap showdown, but also I was kinda hoping he'd just call because usually he would be calling that bet with garbage too. I didnt want to bet way too much either because his turn call did worry me a little.

I would have bet less on the turn, probably mirrored my own flop bet with another $5. I like to do that often when a flush scare card hits. On the river I might bet another $5, or if I was comfortable that he wasn't very aggressive, just check to him. A lot of times if I don't really know where I am and the board is kind of intimidating, I'll just bet small amounts throughout until he either raises me or folds, or the hand ends.

I probably throw out ATo UTG, but that's me. Other than that, well played.

Pitch preflop, dont raise this. Making a weaker bet on the 3- flush is sometimes a mistake with "thinking players". I will often raise those weak scared 3 to the flush bets against people who can laydown.
