I lose way more sets than I win, so each loss comes right here. There has to be a way to play these better, so I can win, either that or I'm just _extremely_ unlucky.

I was planning to just check the river with the club hitting, but with him checking ahead of me, I figured he didn't have the flush.

I dont think potting the turn is needed, I would probably bet $2. And I can see arguments for betting the river and checking behind. At the micro limits, it may be better to check behind because people are going to be chasing with anything, but I think if you bet more on the turn then you should be value betting the river.

Bet a bit more on the turn, closer to potsize. He probably would have called it nonetheless though. This is bad luck. You played nicely, you'll make it all back soon enough.
