I think u should have bet the flop.
You have opened for a 4xBB PFR and although the board is showing 2 diamonds, u have to bet to find out where u are.
At this point it may haev become apparent that Kiyak (Oddly enough, I think I played him in a SnG last night - might have to make some more notes on him in light of this! anyway, I'm digressing....)was on a flush draw because I think he would have called your bet. You could then have power-betted and tested whether he wanted to chase out his flush.
However, the way u played it, I think u have to figure that giving so many free cards here, he was bound to have made something that beat your 3 J's on the river here

A question for ya:
If he raises on the flop to find out where he's at and there's a call, could it not as easily be someone with second pair like A10o, or a TPGK like KQ or QJ, looking to improve on 4th?

If u raise, raise more than 2xBB. And raise the same with every hand so others get no free tips about the strongness of your hand.
If you don't hit your hand on the flop and you raised preflop, don't just check. Raise. Especially late position. You might get the pot without having anything. If u get reraised, fold.

I'd probably not have raised preflop with AJo. Not worth it often enough, IMO. Given that you did, definitely raise more, and follow with a raise unless you're confident you're beat. Even if you do check, bet the turn, especially with only one other opponent. Bet enough that with the flush draw there's horrible pot odds (I like at least 1/2 pot...maybe a full pot).
Nothing you can do about the river unless you know this guy is bad about misplaying suited cards.

raise more than 4x preflop? i think preflop was fine.
definitely throw out a bet on the flop. unless that guy was awful he would've folded. if he just called, with the jack on the turn i'd bet again on the turn and he would've folded there, but if not then a call on the turn would get a river check.

AJo is a limit hand. Limp for a monster or fold pre-flop. The money is too deep for your thin pre-flop edge to be worth a damn.

1. Good raise preflop.
2. Bet the flop at least 1/2 pot.
3. Bet the turn at least 1/2 pot.
4. STBY :P
