So ive been trawling around FTP for a bout three or four months or so and i am seeing a lot of things that are making me say WTF? how are they doing that?. Including this is seeing guys turning theire bankroll from 300 into 3,000 in just over three or four months. Now this is fantastic and good luck and well done to all of them. Here is my quandry - is this happening through ABC poker? TAGG? Using a formula and sticking to it is obviousley the way to go here, correct me if im wrong please. Problem is ive tried these three on a consistant basis and am very much a losing player. I love playing the game and get a great ammount of enjoyment out of doing so, and im sure being a winning player is much more enjoyable. Its more about the satisfaction of making the right call, stealing a pot or slowplaying the nuts to take down the pot.
Ive just made a small post on the operations string and got some advice to come over here and try to get some guidance (of which i sorley need). please observe the following over 5000 hands:
VPIP VPI SB FOLD SB to STEAL FOLD BB to STEAL ATT to STEAL
31.86 53.89 71.86 78.16 5.66
W$WSF $WON WENT to SD WON@SD PF RAISE
37.30 -380.51 34 45.48 5.39
Pretty ordinary huh? this is at full ring .50/1. What can i do to change this ? i play relatively tight but maybe not enough?

Are these stats for full ring? If so, it looks like you're playing much too loose pre-flop.
I would drop half the hands you are currently playing, especially out of early position. Try to get your VP$IP below 20% and your PFR to at least half your VP$IP.
There are some nice solid pre-flop ranges to play in Rentons 169 hand strategy guide (which I recommend you read all of) here:
http://www.flopturnriver.com/phpBB2/...oker-36037.htm
Good luck.

Considering i only took $10 to this table i was happy with the results although a lot more improvement needed. I was on a this table with another player who was killing it, i looked him up on my PT and realised the massive difference in his starting hands to mine, im talking a difference of massive proportions, as soon as i started emulating his style of play things started to turn around for me.
GTG update soon.

Yea, this ain't good. Stop playing for a bit. You have some things that need fixing. Big things.
You have PT. then here is what you do. Go here
http://forumserver.twoplustwo.com/sh...fpart=all&vc=1
Follow this to the letter and come back. You are way too loose, You play bad hands out of position and you are missing some basic fundamentals like raise sizing and positional hand selection. You will do better, FTR promises you that.

Well ive still got a long way to go but........
Last three sessions-
1. Ive stopped minraising
2.Stopped playing OOP and folding JTo and the likes in early to middle (never used to do this).
3.Bet sizing 4 to 5XBB with immediate and positive effects.
3. Folding to more to larger bets post flop with marginal hands (not staying in to try hit turn or river)
Following this plan i have doubled up in two of the sessions ($20) and trippled in one ($30). Fairly happy with the results so far. Lowering my VPIP greatly and raising PFR% has been most beneficial.
What i am struggling with is protecting my blinds. I have been folding to steals heaps and dont know how to play out of the blinds very well also.
What do i do playing BB with 4/5 limpers and half decent hands? do i raise to try and push out? or just check to see the flop?
Folded around to and cut off or SB raises, do i accept this as a straight out bluff to steal the blinds?

In no limit and specifically microstakes, blinds aren't worth defending. Stealing yes, defending, not so much. The cost of no limit betting on later streets makes one BB pretty much worthless. Why play big pots with mediocre hands out of position. Fold, move on, nothing to see here.

increasing your bankroll from $900 - $9500 between June 1 - July 20 while multi-tabling 50/100nl is not unheard of...
I recommend practicing more. Concentrate on having a flawless preflop selection first and foremost. Second, maybe try to improve your hand reading ability, this may require dropping down in levels. Actually, I think you should try to dominate a level before moving up again, so it looks like you need to drop a level or two.
What was your record like at 10NL or 25NL? dominate those levels then move up.
You are playing way too many hands preflop dude, tighten up. Play aggressive when you are the first to enter a pot. Practice positional play.
Sorry I was all over the place, hope it helps a lil.
