Am i an idiot? Hero is BUG31. I took $60 from chazwes two hands prior so i suspect he is on tilt. Should i have called this? I just had the feeling the orginal raiser was going all in. I hate the final result but was the decision bad or good?
PS: Cant find a hand converter for pacific poker sorry bout that.

Yes, yes you are an idiot.

Look at the players stacks. You have to see that even if you are against a better hand (you are only worried about 2 possible hands, and there's only about a 1 in 15 chance someone holds one of them) even if you ae up against one of them, it won't hurt you that much.

You didn't just fold, you folded before Carniwar had a chance to react to the re-raise.
I don't know what they have to say
It makes no difference anyway.
Whatever it is...
I'm against it.

You should have called. You should only fold KK and AA pre flop. Just kidding

If someone happens to have AA or KK, oh well, pay that man his money, reload, and do it all again. The beauty of ring over a tourney is that you can call in this situation and you can keep playing. Just the price of doing business.

If you didnt play it cause you were scared of losing the money you just won or cause you had a lot of money in at the table you should just like go eat a snack and join a new table with $50 and try to double it again.

I don't blame you for folding. I fold that and I consider myself semi-loose semi-agg. Too much action pre-flop for somebody not to have AA or KK in my experience. You have no money invested in that pot. Just cut bait with those cards and hope for a better spot. You will end up paying off many a KK & AA if you call that. I believe it to be a losing situation.
Although, I don't know if I could have folded it before the overcall and the re-raise. After that action and that many people, I fold though.
Playing live . . . thanks alot Bin Laden.

Now that i think of it i belive that was part of the reason. I know thinking like this is not how you become profitable at poker, so i will rember this hand the next time this happens. I do have a question though. if the first raiser had gone all in before the second would you guys have called with QQ?

The most you could've lost was half of your stack... I don't see how you could possibly fold that. There wasn't that much action when it got to you.

Here's a similar example from yesterday: I believe Chris was wrong to fold before all the overcalls & action took place, but in hindsight I think he was right to fold after all the raises. I find I am usually beat with QQ or JJ to multiple flop re-raises or sometimes 50/50. I am rarely dominating opponents in that position. Although, I hear Pacific Poker is looser. Chris, you didn't lose anything by folding, and you can find less marginal situations to get your money in.

*** RIVER *** 8
*** SHOW DOWN ***
djbc321: shows Q Q (two pair, Queens and Eights)
flushitagain: shows A A (two pair, Aces and Eights)
flushitagain collected $17.05 from pot

I was beat going to the flop, even though I would have won. That's poker. I wish I would have called, just to hear those two whine about the darn JJ guy calling. Whiners are my favorite entertainment.

Just because you have a huge stack doesn't mean you should call this hand. If you feel you can wait for a better spot, then you cannot feel bad about this laydown.

This just happend to me recently. I won a big pot and the next hand i had one of my favorites 10 9 suited cause its soo good to break people with aces, and i didnt even call the blind. Would of floped the flush with open ended straight flush draw, then would have hit the nut straight flush on the turn. Someone had kings

Stack sizes are important here.

1) Carnivar with a stack of 27$ raises from UTG = he's got some kind of hand, but only AA or KK beats you and you have his stack very well covered.
2) ChazWes, the small stack on tilt, pushes = You have him covered and probably beaten, since he probably could make a move with any pair or worse here.

Conclusion:
You should reraise Carniwar for his stack to isolate ChazWes and fold people behind you. This was a very bad fold in my opinion.

No, i have broken 4 people that were slow playing AA when i had 9 10 suited, its a good hand bro. If you hit a good hand or draw you can win a big pot or if you hit nothing or 1 pair its easy to fold.

If all stacks are close to the same and no reads, I can definitely fold QQ to a 5x raise and 25x reraise. I used to automatically punch AI with QQ here, which I think is sometimes a mistake. With those raises, I'd say there's a pretty good chance you're often up against AA/KK/AK.

In this particular situation you've gotten 4x everybody's stack, you read re-raiser as tilting, and opener could have a lot of different cards depending on your read of him(if any).

I agree w/Borax, push AI to isolate becuase of your read and your relative stack size advantage.
