(edit) Shove the river because he's only 50bb deep. You're not going to induce a bluff out of him very often so check/call loses a lot of value.

Raise more preflop vs. three limpers. I would raise to $1.50 there. No way we can b/f this river against this size stack imo. Just shove, AQ is well within his range and will call given your read. Were you going to fold if he bet? If not then the check is even worse.

LoL, AT and A9 are in his range too!
Didn't see how shallow the money is. You need to just felt this and plan the hand accordingly.
I would raise more pre-flop to set-up a heads-up pot with a lower SPR to make being OOP less painful. $1.50 is good.

seconded. this hand was way too passive, if you hadnt decided to play for stacks aftre the flop action (baring another club falling) then we played it in the wrong mindset IMO

He's only got $5.45 left on the river, get him in. A loose passive is looking you up with any ace guaranteed.

Cheers for the input gents. For the record he had AJ for two pair, just 'cause I run bad. But his range is extensive enough to make pushing the river very +EV. I was just being a woman

Since you aren't American, why aren't you playing somewhere that the 200NL play is this bad?

Heh...loose passives crack me up. Too scared to bet the river with top two cause of the flushy flop and the river pair...as if that river changed anything
They're scared to bet that river, but you know they'd be calling it.

Is it true that in yer typical B&M game fulla loose passives that everyone shuts down on 3-flush boards? Like...folding top set kinda shutdown when the 3rd flush card comes?
On boards like this I never worry about the flush & assume anyone betting hard is betting the draw. Might be a leak cause I certainly get burned enough when they actually flop the flush. Huge multi-ways I'm more cautious...

I see terrible laydowns from time to time. But I see a lot more missed value, aggressive calling and commitment to seeing a flop at nearly absurd prices.

Makes sense. Textbook loose passive that you see online as well.
I was playing a home game the other day and this loose passive limped aces, & checked it down on a A33 flop & threw out a minbet on the river. I saw the same thing at 50NL only it was top set instead of top boat, and he didn't throw the bet on the river & won a $2.40 pot.
That kinda stuff cracks me up to no end
