The whole table called him a chicken shit after this one, so they vote yes. He magically reconnected after the hand.

I really dislike the idea of disconnect protection for a NL game. Sure there are times when it really matters, but those times are few and far between. Most Stars games are No All-In Protection to prevent this except for limit games

We appreciate you taking the time to report situations of alleged Disconnect Protection abuse at PokerNow.com.

Starting with the hand history (or hand #) that you sent to us, we have performed an investigation that would allow us to examine thoroughly the account in question; "uroranganus".

We have looked into these players records and collected the previous hands in which this player used the Disconnect Protection. Our goal was to look for a pattern where the player usually disconnects in key moments.

Some of the parameters we use when investigating possible protection abuse:
o The player's cards at the time of disconnection.
o The player's previous action (whether he was betting/raising) and also the actions of the other players at the time of disconnection.
o The benefit obtained by a player disconnecting.
o The timing of disconnection.
o A player's pattern of disconnections.
o Previous allegations made by other players and/or the system.

Using the information listed above we have investigated the history of player "uroranganus" thoroughly and have found that along with the hand you reported, the player has shown some sign of disconnecting at keys times. Although that might seem suspicious, the player has in fact not disconnected more than what might be normal with an unstable internet connection and the hands in which he was reported by players or the system are borderline suspicious, at best.

Nonetheless, we have recorded your complaint into the players account and will keep this investigation on file. In addition, our gaming experts will be monitoring this player's account. If the player does at any time show a pattern of abuse we will remove his protection. We have sent an email to the player informing him of the investigation and making him aware that his actions are being monitored.

We thank you for taking the time to report your suspicions. Keeping the games honest is our highest priority. If you need any clarifications or have any questions or concerns please feel free to contact us. We will be more than happy to assist you.

Best Regards,
deependrakumars
Investigations Team for Poker

I dont see why they think this is good enough. The guy obviously cheats after both hand histores i sent them and they just decide to keep an eye on him...

Where can I find no allin disconnect games besides stars? Even with the occasional moron, its gotta be more profitable at the partyskins.

My reply:

After sending you two hand histories where the player was obviously cheating, and you mentioning that he has a suspect history, I wonder why he is just recieving a warning? I am getting very tired of playing against cheaters and will be looking for a new poker site that does not offer allin disconnects or one that at least takes care of the problems.

Thank you,
xxxxx xxxxxxxx

damn dude, that's a very ballsy play. What's your bankroll looking like after doing this sort of thing? I'm not winning enough money fast enough for my taste anymore, and want to start winning even when I am not hitting cards. Could you post a few more, and give some tips about when to try this sort of crazy move?

Well, this was a bad move because I had no draws to the nuts, even though it didnt look like a FH for him anyways. Plus, I should not have raised this hard because we were both deep stacked. Thirdly, I had no foldingg equity because he had already started calling everything down.

My bankroll wasnt in much peril either because I now play in the 100NL games. That night I just took $50 out and went down to those games to see what I could do being a maniac. It was fun, but just to let you know i eventually lost my profits + original buyins. I lost it from stupid plays, however, not from luck. I think that I am onto something, but just need to learn to slow down when the time calls for it. Its going much better today. Look at the shorthanded forum for more posts if want.
