You don't even have a pair...
You're probably up against a set or two pair. Any read on piratejp?
I see 10 outs here. And a pair of Kings or Aces is prbly not even good. That makes 4 outs (assuming none of your 10s are dead) .
Lay it down big man, lay it down.
EDIT:Also, you might want to rebuy up to the max buy-in when you go below $20 or so.

The two notes I had on this player were:
Played AQ, flopped Q x x, and he checked the flop and the turn. Bet big on the river and got one caller. Odd slowplay.
The other hand he showed was J3s. Missed his flush draw and bet the pot on the river, called and lost.
So generally a weak or unknowledgable player.

Even with that read I lay it down.
Wait for a better spot to bust him.

Ouch. Thanks Aces, I'm sufficiently humiliated.
My thoughts were:
He has a pair of Queens. I can beat that with an A, K or 10. Ten outs. Two cards to come. Estimate 1/3 chance of winning. Short stack costs me $10 to win $30+ and I called it.
I knew it was a border line call and that's why I posted it for discussion.
But it reinforces how much I have to learn about this game.
Here's the rest of the hand:
PorkChopMone is all-In.
** Dealing Turn ** [ 9s ]
** Dealing River ** [ Tc ]
PorkChopMone shows [ Ac, Kh ] a straight, ten to ace.
piratejp shows [ Kc, Qs ] a straight, nine to king.
piratejp wins $5.95 from side pot #1 with a straight, nine to king.
PorkChopMone wins $33.2 from the main pot with a straight, ten to ace.
Triptaines response shows my error in reasoning- as did seeing his hand. He had the K which brought me down to 7 outs. If he had a set or two pair I'm down to 4 outs. And it was a terrible call. I sucked out on him.
Thanks for your input.
You guys are like my conscience. I constantly hear a little voice that says "if you call that and post it on FTR, they'll tell you it was a bad call whether or not you win."
Here's to getting better!!!!!!!!!

So I'm standing in the shower this morning and had a new thought about that hand.
Lets say I really did have 10 outs. Two cards to come, 3:1 underdog in my estimation. It was $10 to call, and I got $33 when I won. That's still only a $23 profit on my stack. Just because I trippled up, doesn't mean I had 3:1 on the pot odds. I really bet $10 to Win $23 which is more like 2:1.
So not only did I overestimate my outs to be 10 when they were really 7 (and could easily have been as few as 4 outs!). I compounded the problem by then overestimating my pot odds.
I need to work at coming up with ACCURATE figures in the 20 seconds I have to act.
But I did suck out on him.

Cheers! I wouldn't have thought about this hand enough if I hadn't posted it.
Though it has been pretty humbling, I gotta admit.
