Villain is sorta-reg. I have about 2k hands on him and I've never seen him min 3-bet before. I think he views me as solid but tilt-prone? fair enough.
He is 17-10 but winning nonetheless, and has a too high (80%) cbet rate. My notes on him are light cos he's pretty standard really and I don't take enough notes?
pre-flop this is often AA, but could be anything really. I decide to simply call and see what happens. Flop I think that any of check-call, lead, check-raise is fine - thoughts?
Once I hit, I pretty much have to bet assuming he has a good hand and thus putting him in an awkward spot, right? or check? or?

I would probably check-call the turn and check-shove the river to conceal my hand, but that does allow villain to improve his hand by doing so so it is kind of risky.

If he is raising JJ+...
Board: 5h Js 7h
Dead:
equity win tie pots won pots tied
Hand 0: 43.253% 43.25% 00.00% 6423 0.00 { AhKh }
Hand 1: 56.747% 56.75% 00.00% 8427 0.00 { JJ+ }
I don't see why checkraising the flop does anything but bloat the pot and give him a chance to repop you.
I would err. on the safe side against this relative unknown and just call flop.

/agree somewhat
There is so much money behind that I don't love a flop check/raise because QQ+ is never folding and will get the money in good. If the ranges were wider then I love a flop donk intending to get it in.
c/c flop is a fine line. If the turn checks through and both the turn + river blank then take it away on the river.

If you know more about his stupid 3 bet...for example:
Board: 5h Js 7h
Dead:
equity win tie pots won pots tied
Hand 0: 52.652% 43.18% 09.47% 12825 2812.50 { AhKh }
Hand 1: 47.348% 37.88% 09.47% 11250 2812.50 { TT+, AKs, AKo }
...you are a favourite over his range.
If you start adding AQ, 99 and 88 the check raise is a no brainer.

So what is the consensus of what to do on the turn after check calling and hitting the nuts? It seems like no matter what you do, it is tough to get alot of money into the pot. The heart is such an action killer.
Maybe thats why we should checkraise the flop....Give up a little equity to make it easier to stack the guy later on...

I like both pre and flop. I would donk the turn for about 22$. I dont think he will fold an OP here but might check it behind and that would be really bad.
