Hi

Villain is VP$ 19/ PFR 7 on 54 hands.

Was ok the call preflop?
On the flop: Flat , fold or shove?


Full Tilt No-Limit Hold'em, $0.25 BB (9 handed) -

saw flop

MP3 ($26.79)
CO ($12.63)
Button ($24.25)
SB ($11.87)
BB ($36.63)
UTG ($21.59)
Hero (UTG+1) ($26.10)
MP1 ($24.65)
MP2 ($28.11)

Preflop: Hero is UTG+1 with A, K
UTG calls $0.25, Hero bets $1.10, 2 folds, MP3 raises to $3.90, 2 folds, SB calls $3.80, 2 folds, Hero calls $2.80

Flop: ($12.20) 6, 4 7(3 players)
SB checks, Hero checks, MP3 bets $8, 1 fold, Hero raises to $22.20 (All-In)

I hate playing ace high multiway and prefer to 4 bet here. Instead of check raising flop as played I prefer a large bet on flop.

I like the check/raise on the flop. He has JJ, QQ, KK, AA or AKs.

Only AA is scary, but even then, we have a one in three shot at cracking them. If he has KK we have another 3 outs, and QQ or JJ gives us yet another three.

But, if he's c-betting with AKs, he's folding for sure, and even if he can't let it go, he's in terrible shape, praying for the chop. If we opened the flop betting, it gives him a chance to either fold (which is bad if he has AK), or raise (if he has JJ or better). I guess if he raises, we're probably priced in, unless he has AA. We have to chance that.

Yes, I'd play the hand exactly as you did. Flat the pre reraise, check/shove the flop.
