UTG is a rock running 15/10 over 700 hands
MP1 is a fish 47/22 over 200 hands.
SB is an unkown and BB is a nit

PF.
3betting pre is -EV i guess.the only ride we get is from UTG and his 3bet call/4bet range has us crushes for sure and we miss out value from the MP1 fish.

Wht do u guys think?

FLOP.
UTG cbet screams AQ+ since hes bettng multiway, doubt he opens AJ utg.Fish range is pretty wide here.
Whats our plan here?Why?How much?

Preflop depends entirely on MP1's fold to 3bet stat. If you don't use that stat I'm just gonna 3bet without knowing more, the fish calls enough to make it easily +EV (edit: retarded use of +EV since calling is also clearly very +EV. I think 3betting is easily better than calling)

Flop is a bit lame, but I'm just going to go for raise here as well. There are just too many draws out to not raise and we have the fish crushed. UTG's bet size is dumb and the only hand you're really worried about is JJ so I can't raise/fold. Just make it like $18 and call a shove.

what exactly do you mean by "a rock" = his post-flop play is exclusively fit-or-fold?

ok, pros and cons of flatting pre-flop.

con 1 - there are no short stacks behind
con 2 - chances are good that you're going to see a flop multiway and without position
con 3 - you abandon a bunch of dead money
con 4 - you're playing against ranges you are unsure of

pro 1 - disguises your hand
pro 2 - keeps fish in the pot, but a 3-bet likely will as well.

after flop actions,
utg range is something like JJ/AQ+/KK/KhQh
MP 1 range is any ace, any flush draw, any pair, any set.

Raise flop, don't be folding. Why? you're betting for value against both players, and to protect your hand. How much? $20 is a nice number

Flop: ($10) 2, A, J (5 players)
SB checks, BB checks, UTG bets $5.50, MP1 calls $5.50, Hero raises $13, 3 folds, MP1 calls $7.50

Turn: ($41.50) 5 (2 players)
MP1 checks

Total pot: $41.50

UTG bet is really dumb,i dont really know what he's trying to achieve with this half bet.the only reason is to induce a raise from one of us and shove JJ.

Well,my bet sizing here is absolute horrible.I was giving pretty good odds for a flush draw to draw on me.I guess $16-$18 would be decent, and i could fold if BB(nit) decides to come over the top.

The turn card is somewhat scary.Whats your play here?

shove. we still beat loads and there's a good chance he's calling with any Ahx or AXh, as well as any QT,KT or KQ with a heart and maybe some Jx with a heart too.
