Unless you give this guy ANY credit for raising 44 or 88 from UTG, then you are putting it in while ahead. I smell flush draw and possibly a weak K looking for FE

Looks like villian has AK.
I dont think he is on a draw, as a min raise oop doesnt really buy him a free card. AA/KK should reraise pf, so thats doubtful. I think we can discount 44 due to the PFR. 88 might be a possibility.
Your line is screaming AA. So I think he has to fold AK in this case, which makes your push a good push IMO. If he has KK gg u lose.

I think if he had AA, he would have re raised your big pre flop raise. Probably even with KK. So pre flop I would put him on QQ, JJ, or even AK also.
After the flop he just hit the raise button instead of pushing all in. So he probably doesnt have AA or KK. Probably AK, KQ...maybe still could have QQ, JJ and just wants to see if you have the K and thats why he just hit the raise button.
I'm rambling now, but just wanted to post so you would have some reply's. I'm going to say villian had QQ or KQ.
P.S. I like the push there.

If you had any reads it'd be a lot easier... it's slightly possible he raise UTG with 8's, but a slowplay would probably happen more often with that specific hand...
This hand is really confusing me because i can't put him on any logical hand! the only hands i can think of are KQs or AKs.

If I were villain I would definitely raise 88 UTG, and I definitely wouldnt slow play it on flop like that. I also definitely wouldnt min raise with a set though...but he could be a donk?
any reads Renton?

I can see 88, KK, AA , AK and flush draw taking villians line. I don't really see you taking a different line after the preflop action.
I hate playing for my whole stack with TPTK and no reads.
I play the hand totally different but I am not nearly as aggresive as you.

Stats on the Villian?
Some Villians will slowplay with AA PF, I could see this being KK or AKo/AKs, possibly QQ if he is aggro.
Most likely holding for Villian is AK or a set IMO.
I play it the same way as you on the flop though against an unknown.

Does the old maxim about not stacking off w/ one pair not apply here for some reason?

This hand seems extremely difficult to get away from in a reraised pot on a flop like this.

It's good poker not to re-raise AA/KK here every time.

True, if I had AA or KK (preflop) here I would reraise it just because its not Heads up. If it was heads up I would call a good percentage of the time.

too much money went in preflop for me to fold a hand like this here.
On points of discussion, i have and may keep mucking unsooted AK here a lot to the raise and call. I feel im only getting stacked by better hands or splitting with AK.
Saying that you have AKs so i may have just called and played the flop from there, knowing that with the hand 3way or more i can get away from a number of hands i might make pretty easily if they seem beaten.
With only an opener AKo/s is an instant 3bet to isolate as is AAetc. I hate AK like this and i know ive lost money with it playing it like this.
Is there another point in that we can reraise enough preflop to probably force a better hand to push or that we push the flop no matter what comes?
