Should I have reraised prf in order to isolate? I know I should have bet more on the flop in order to give opp bad odds to chase his flush

Yeah the $2 bet was bad, should have been more like $4.
Anyways, I'm often in doubt about wether to just coldcall or reraise with AK. I would be out of position in this hand postflop, so I decided not to invest more money into the pot (would have been if I had tho, so I could weed out strange hands like K5s and isolate my opponent). I'm curious to how ppl play AK in situations like these. When a tight (read rock) raises its an easy coldcall (or even fold lol), when its a raise from a loose player I often reraise, but when I havent got a read, I'm unsure on what to do.
Btw, AKo (not suited) plays bad in multiway pots right? Another reason to reraise in order to isolate, or am I wrong?

Meh, you threw it away like you should have.

I might play this the same and then just push the turn if the diamond doesn't pop up. I don't think you need bet any more than $3 on that flop.

Preflop I think is fine. I often play them stronger, but I often continuation bet when rags show up. If you'd had known you'd get so many callers behind you might consider making it $2, but that depends on the table.

You *have* to shut out flush drawers with that hand and that flop, so a pot sized bet is probably best, That said, with 5 people seeing the flop you're unlikely to win in any case, so I guess it's fair to say you minimised your losses. But still, your flop bet was so mimsy it was almost certainly never going to win you the pot.

With AK, you don't want more than 1 or 2(max) people in the hand. The more people that see the river the worse off you are. But, since you couldn't predict the players acting after you preflop you should have done more (like you said) to isolate or take the pot down on the flop. I can't count how many times people get AK and neglect straights and flushes even when 4 are on the board. At least you made the correct turn laydown in the end. Good play.
