yes. this is a pretty ridiculous question. i'd be willing to bet my left testicle (that's my favorite one, btw) that you are the winner > 1/17 times

Well, I am not going to be betting either of my testicles (I'm not properly bankrolled to be betting them), but I am definately going to make that last call.

Lol, agreed about the dumbness of this question. I need to be right 1 in 17 times to B/E, and you also know why I posted this. lol @me
Okay then, moving on...thread locked

I fold too. The small chance of winning that pot isn't worth showing down the hand. As played, I'd rather muck it. Why not bet the flop?

you said your bets were being called, but with that flop and the two checks i would always lead the flop with a pretty decent sized bet, maybe 3/4 pot to a pot size bet. in most cases you take down the pot right there, but if you get calls or raises you can change your thinking process heading into the turn...in the case of a check/raise on the flop, you can feel better about folding then

do the right thing.

I would probably call heads up, but I think an overcall is stretching it a bit.

Some days it feels like I've been standing forever, waiting for the bank teller to return so I can cash in all these Sklansky Bucks.

ya...with a caller already, you gotta figure someone has at least one pair 99% of the time. another option is to raise the "block bet" hehe. that's prob a spew though. anyway I'd rather fold too.
so what'd the min bettor and caller have? 65, 42?

I'd call.
I'm also wondering if showing AK played this passively may help get c-bets more respect?
Dunno.

this question is stupid because you are really not losing much in the long run doing either one.

flexinmuscle had the one card necessary to make his straight and was hoping to squeeze a little bit of juice out of the two of you amirite??
Plus I would call if it was HU but not after that first call, there's at LEAST a pair out there.
But yeah, like IowaSkinsFan said...

Absolutely wrong. His point is that the OP very likely have other leaks more important to discuss.
A mistake is a severe mistake if it a) costs you alot of money every now and then, or b) costs you a little money very often. Making a bad call or fold in this situation will cost us a little money every now and then, and thus it is not so important. Sure, everything adds up, but for now these mistakes will not be even remotely noticable.
FWIW I'm calling, for the combination of direct value (re: Bode-ist) and metagame (re: Anosmic).

OK, I'm new...but IMO i wouldn't call on the river. However, I would've made a cbet on the flop of 50% of the pot. I like cbets coz it gives me info. If you were called then you know there is something, and raised, well fold obviously.

it's good to be aggressive, but just make sure you are not betting soley for information. that can lead to spewing.
