PokerStars No-Limit Hold'em, $0.25 BB (8 handed) Poker-Stars Converter Tool from FlopTurnRiver.com (Format: FlopTurnRiver)
Button ($23.95)
SB ($12.90)
BB ($15.65)
UTG ($25.70)
UTG+1 ($27.20)
Hero ($27.45)
MP2 ($45.85)
CO ($7.85)
Preflop: Hero is MP1 with A , K .
UTG calls $0.25, 1 fold, Hero raises to $1.25, 1 fold, CO calls $1.25, 3 folds, UTG raises to $3, Hero calls $1.75, CO calls $1.75.
Flop: ($9.35) K , 4 , Q (3 players)
UTG bets $4, Hero ... ?
Villain is 38/14/.8 over 63 hands.
I'm wondering how often we're actually good here. Villain can't be that weak here very often. I'm thinking at best we're up against AQ/AK, and at worse facing QQ+, which makes me lean towards folding, which makes me question the value in flat calling preflop, but at the same time, can we really justify 4-betting a relatively passive player showing this kind of aggression? ...but how can we fold AK here?
Gah. I hated this hand

As played, you hit TPTK and have no choice but to felt it and hope for the best. Anyways, calling here is fine but 4 bet and isolate with the intention of folding to a shove is probably a better line in my opinion given his pfr 14%.

What would his PFR have to be before you consider changing your PF line to a fold (or call?)

Think this one through before you see a flop.

My gut knew this, yet for some reason my brain said "see a flop". Re-thinking the hand, it does seem like raise or fold makes more sense, I just figured that having position on the villain was good for a flop, but I guess with the CO still there, my relative position isn't great, huh?
I'm still a little unsure how to play AK in situations like these. The "AK is a drawing hand" post started to make me de-value it a little. Obviously I know it's a strong hand, but I have trouble being confident enough with it preflop to 4-bet with it. I gather this is a mistake here?
Interestingly, AKo is my biggest winner over 20k hands at 25NL.

huh, AK is a very flexible hand IMO. There are a few times you fold to 3 bet or 4 bet against super nits & rocks and some times you definitely 4 bet prelfop Vs aggressive monkeys & maniacs . In general, i rarely just call 3 bet with AK OOP. In multiway raised pot, you either 4 bet or just simply fold to big aggression.

You are going to lose a lot of chips calling this re-raise preflop + making pair on flop. I don't think you're up against QQ or worse, often enough to make the call profitable.
