Villain was 26/9/1.6 and we had not tangled prior. Saw him bet a set fairly strongly in a pot prior (e.g. i don't think he slowplays big hands, especially in spots like this).
My image is 13/9 nitstylie.

Looks like a set/2 pair/AK/maybe AQ.
I doubt hes worse than you very often with a 1.6AF so I fold. Could be the straight draw i suppose but i doubt it since he looks so passive.

Fuh-old. If you've had c-bets picked off post-flop he could be making a move, but if he sees you as a nit he's got to give you credit for TPTK here.

I folded without much thought, but then i ran pokerstove, and if he always plays AQ like this I have to make a crying shove.

Thats pretty suprising. I think this would be an unusual way for this villain to play AQ but not out of the question.

The key word there is always. If this is an unusual play for villain with AQ then the pokerstove numbers need to be adjusted. Still, I'm not sure how else he would play AQ here... lead and fold to a raise? Really, c/r isn't a bad line for AQ here, esp against a perceived nit with a high AF. A few months ago I would have said that a flop c/r was rarely a set, but I'm seeing it more and more lately. What do you think about call and re-evaluate? This villain might not be able to pull the trigger on the turn with only AQ and you do have position...

also think about the fact that hes pretty loose preflop, and generally people who are loose preflop tend to overplay Ax
