I know a guy who's friends with this fella who plays poker with some guy who used to work at Poker Room. And he says it IS rigged.

I don't know what they have to say
It makes no difference anyway.
Whatever it is...
I'm against it.

Hey Hump... I see you're from KC. You must be talking about Matthew Kurton. As soon as I heard he left them I quit playing there. Just not worth risking it on those kind of sketchy sites.

i can't tell if you're serious or mocking me. i know a lot of people bitch about crap like this and say online poker is rigged. i don't know if it is or isn't, but it just seems like this happens a lot on pokerroom, where 3 people will all hit a flop hard, and the person who is ahead will lose more often than he should. i've never played on any other sites because i'm on a mac, so i can't say that i've had a different experience with another site. obviously crap like this happens in real life, but it jsut seems like it happens so much more often on pokerroom.

I just don't get why people who think a certain room (or all of them) is rigged still play online poker

Some days it feels like I've been standing forever, waiting for the bank teller to return so I can cash in all these Sklansky Bucks.

A) If any online poker room were rigged, it would be exposed quickly.
B) Why would any online poker room risk their credibility and client base by rigging their software when they are able to make tens of thousands (hundreds of thousands?) of dollars in rake $$ every day WITHOUT rigging it?

Seems can be deceiving.
We're having a bit of fun with you, but don't take it too hard. The fact is that the Rigged Spiel has been played out fifteen times every day on every poker related discussion site out there. Astonishingly, these discussions all have one very important thing in common:
The person who brought it up is talking strictly about how things seem to himher, and doesn't have a shred of numerical evidence
The reason, as hinted above, is that sites play at least a million hands a day, and if they rigged their hands in any way it would be discovered within a week. Millions of hands are statistically significant. One's feelings are not.

I recently got busted with nut straight - the guy flushed it. Along with my stack.
The other time I badly pushed with flush draw, got called but won a huge pot.
Trips made from pocket pair have reasonable chance for filling up on turn or river, it's not uncommon...
Rilla had right: do everything good and lose your stack, do everything wrong and leave 2 grand richer. Poker is a strange game....

first of all this is for the bad beat section of the forums..shouldnt be one but there will always be one for people like you...and second... he pushed over top of you..therefor he thought he had the best hand when he put his money in...you called with the nuts yes...but you only called...therefor just like your thinking hes dumb, hes probally thinking the same thing to you...and its just unfortunate he filled up...nothing you can do...stop complaining and move on.
