100 NL

Me: QQ UTG+1
UTG limps, I make it $4, he pushes AI for 12.

Reads: These people suck. That's my read. These people suck and push at stupid times and catch cards and win and it's bullshit.

I don't think i need to post the results. I want to know if you guys are automatically laying down to the limp-reraise (assuming, of course, you don't have aces or kings yourself)

Hmmm. I have laid this down a couple of times over the last week. Maybe I should call and see what they hold.

Oh Geez, you fold everytime.

(being different and wrong doesn't feel that good. Go ahead and call)
I don't know what they have to say
It makes no difference anyway.
Whatever it is...
I'm against it.

I sure as hell don't fold queens there.

I'd fold 77 or lower I think. With more behind, this is a totally different question.

I give short stacks next to zero respect.

Easy call.. you have QQ facing an AI reraise from a person who only had a 12BB stack.. you are also getting better then 2:1 here.

I think some people here need to give short stacks (maybe not THIS short) more respect though.. but that's easily a whole discussion in itself.

If I was playing against one of these short-stack masters, I would. But against some moron who lost the rest, or some other moron who buys in at $10 at 50NL, nope.

Maybe it's -EV at times, I don't know.

Fold for $8 w/QQ to a small stack you've read as fishy? No way.

I think it's interesting how the way one describes the act changes the decision.

Folding for $8 w/QQ sounds bad.

Folding to an UTG all-in limp-reraise doesn't... at least, it doesn't sound as bad

BTW I went ahead and called it. Opp was dominated. Amazing the stuff you see sometimes.

Well you do gotta consider what their stack is. If they raise all-in with $35 - easy fold. Not sure exactly where I draw the line, but you get the idea. Also short-stack is more often then not either fish-man or guy-on-tilt man who has lost a bunch at this table(which you should know if you've been there awhile). I just don't see that many good players sitting at $100NL w 12 bucks. If they were decent they would rebuy long before that point(unless their playing the short-stack strategy). Sure they could have picked up AA/KK.AK but overall I think it is way +EV to call unless you have a very good reason/read not to.

INSTACALL.

The dude only has $12 in his stack...I'm not sure where you're playing, but I see the shortstackies pushing 55-AA and A6-AK here. I happily call (maybe even reraise to $20+ to isolate if there are other players in the hand yet to act).

You will win this the majority of the time. Instacall.
