I was trying to adjust my play against a super loose/aggressive player. He raised every pot, and rarely made it to a showdown. Everyone was getting pushed around by this guy. This particular hand, I decided to push him back to see if I could get him to tone down his aggressiveness. Well after this hand, he did in fact stop playing super lag. Was this a smart move, or a recipe for disaster?

That is a very ballsy play by you, but your read was strong and it worked out. When he calls the flop raise i'm nervous, usually really LAG people know enough to not show weakness by checking and being forced to fold. But you owned this guy, plain and simple. Nice read

Edit: One important thing though to keep in mind, LAG players DO make hands too. Thats the benefit of being one...when you make one, people pay you, or try and bluff you. So you have to pick your spots.
