First of all, nice job. That's good poker. Fundamental but good. Fundamental because it's less of a read and more of a tell. Bets like this invite even the least aggressive opponents to put it to a test.

Pretty soon you'll know when to come over the top even when the bet is a full pot size depending on the board. I've done that a couple times holding nothing, and it's a great feeling to have your read confirmed.

I don't mean to burst your bubble, but this particular hand you're showing is an obvious over the top. Your opponent is almost begging you to give them an excuse to fold.

be careful, because some players mix it up by acting weak to you with the best hand if they see you doing this too much.

Nice hand Sinkrox.. Im sure I have seen you multi tabling the $20 at Ladbrokes poker. My alias there is PokerChimp. I have used that place like an ATM . Those tables are well fishy, and no American players either hehehe. In fact, I'm playing in the $2,500 guaranteed there in about 5 minutes.

Hey Jimmy yeh Ive been playing on laddies for a few months, initially 4-5 tabling the .1/.2 grinding it out playing ABC. Now ive dropped to 2-3 tables to try and concentrate more and improve my game further

I really like laddies and their banking but when I move up stakes i'll possibly move elsewhere where there's more players.

I'll look out for ya on the tables 8)

What is it with you europeans who love the fact that you're not playing against americans? If someone started a "no european" poker site here I'd feel the urge to call them up and inquire about their partnership with retardation. You know why? Segregating poker players is the most ridiculous thing I've ever heard.

Is there some distastful poker attribute inherent to american players that I don't know about? It's all money, and we have a lot of it. Don't you want some?

I want a poker room where only cross bred semi retarded spanish hicks from Alaska are allowed. That's the only players I like. They tend to be weak tight.

Ladbrokes is guilty of catering to and encouraging the anti american sentiments unfortunately common to the mind of foreign citizens. You hate america. get over it. let's play poker.

Is your head going to honestly explode if an american sits down to play a card game with you? You should be ashamed of yourself.

A strong will would boycott such a site that excludes people for no logical reason besides thinly veiled hatred justified through the guise of novelty.

"Come to Ladbrokes.... we have no scumbags playing here"

Listen to the song signs my friend. here's a little piece....

Sign says long haired hippy people
need not apply
So I took my hair up under my hat
and I went in to ask him why

He said you look like a fine outstanding young man
I think you do

So I took off my hat I said imagine that
Me playing poker with you?

True Rondavu it is very odd and unfair.. the thing is they must be lossing out on punters by not allowing american players... so maybe they only do it to keep their player base at a nice size - which is the only benifits I find of it.

I have nothing against americans or american poker players and im sure the majority of ladbrokes players doesn't. After all this site is american based and provides an amazing learning/discussion platform.

Americans are actually great to play live as they're alot more talktaive/easygoing and fun. I think it was Doyal Brunson who claimed the English don't play 'Poker' because we hardly talk at the table - and this is such a large part of his poker game.

"5. No American Players

There are thousands of professional players in the US and they make US Poker sites hard places to win money. Ladbrokes is popular, because it is the only site in the world that does not take US players for legal reasons. Ladbrokes is commonly regarded as the best place to play Poker as a novice player. "

So basically Europeans are scared of playing Americans and Ladbrokes dont allow them because of legal reasons (and thats your own fault).

Hey, I just had to rant. I just hear so many europeans screaming for joy that they have a site where americans can't play. It never made sense to me.

When it comes to being the best site for novices to play, I think you could make a case for Pacif. P in that regard. Those are some of the worst players on the planet. I think they're from Montana.

In regards to legality, Ladbrokes isn't kidding anyone. If they wanted to make it accessible to americans, they could do it. "Legal reasons" is a scapegoat. There's always a loophole in the law. They would simply have to do whatever it takes, and then make a ton of money.

Hey if they don't want me there, then that's cool. I have a thousand other places to play. It is kind of rude though. Arrogant even comes to mind. That's a word many non americans use to describe us, as they employ it. Especially the damn French. I kind of like the english. I have three brothers who were born in Great Britain, and my last name is Chester for the love of the queen. Can you have a more british surname than Chester? I challenge you to come up with one. Weird thing is I'm american indian. Figure that out.

Wow Rondavu you americans can be so sensitive! I think the reason a lot of places don't like playing americans totally makes sense because of the skill factor. Think about golf for instance. The women aren't letting the men play in the LPGA because of arrogance, it's just the men will run them over (No offense to any ladies out there, lets not get a sexes debate going this is mearly a generalized example).

Now when a canadian poker site opens up and refuses access to all other nations that's arrogance. Because we all know we're better than all you second rate poker playing nations and don't want you clogging up our games with boneheaded play.

So europeans really think americans will run them over in poker?

Hell if I know, but if you think about it poker is huge out here right now. I don't know if it is the same over there. But the greater the pool the greater the talent.
