opener is weak-tight. 3-better is crazy, something like 50-15 over 80 hands, doing well after a set hit an overpair. First time he's 3-bet though, i imagine TT+/AQ+ - get rid of AQ after the call. So, i don't want him folding, he is capable of folding his overpair if i give him the chance. Is this played well for value? or is it just ugly...

...villian turns over 22 and spits in your face.

He obviously likes his hand and you got it in by the turn, but the pair of you minraising each other is like some crappy ballet. It's obvious you wanted him still in the hand and it's obvious he wanted you still in the hand, so you could have just shoved the turn. Hell, you could have got it in on the flop with some slightly bigger raises.
<@d0zer> how will you learn if I don't berate you harshly?

if you lost the hand its a cooler considering preflop action - also you want to play lots of poker with him.

The only bad part of the play IMO is not calling flop raise and c/bombing turn or just shoving flop (but a decent played can fold flop so c/bomb is better)

villain has less than a psb if we call his flop raise and check to him on the turn so hopefully it will be check/massive fistpump call not check/raise.

I really feel like the flop 3bet is very bad. Just let him bluff!

I got his stack obviously, was just checking in to see if my line sucked terri-bad. Sounds like consensus that the flop 3-bet was awful - cheers!

Pretty much sums it up. You have a read he's crazy but can fold, so use that read and let him hang himself.
Just playing to improve.

How is it anything other than bad? We're not going to struggle to get his value range in given stack sizes and if we call and check to him he can shove turn as a bluff. Why needlessly take all bluffs out of his range when there are no cards we are afraid of?

Yes it is tougher to get value from his overpairs if we just call the flop raise. With 45% of our stack in there after the minraise, I'd shove.

actually i didnt read the bit where it said this is the first time villain has 3bet so I'm giving too little credit and he has value hands more oftne tha i first thought making a shove less bad. if he has more bluffs in his range obv call/check turn is better and I stil think that it is close/ may even be slightly better.

Hand seems fine though I don't get why you just don't shove the turn.
