No reads here. Is it better to call the flop min raise, and keep the pot small?

My intention with raising the flop was get called by a pair of queens or raised by a set. On the turn, I figured a pair would call a small bet and a boat would reraise, although am not sure about this logic.

I'm thinking I should've just called the flop. I coulda played this better, right???!!!!

A call or a reraise are both fine I think, but if you're going to reraise make it substantial, mabye 3x his raise. If he's calling this i'd check fold the turn to a solid bet.

If you call his minraise on the flop, bet about the pot on the turn, if he reraises you big, fold.

The way you played it made it easy for villain to call the flop, and your small turn bet indicates weakness.

 call flop raise check/call turn (fold to a turn push) I'd probably go all the way with this, but I'd attempt to play a small pot.

calling mini raises is not good imho.
he could have a stroing queen gaining info in position or a set. You can probably safely fold to some pushing...

Althernatively i guess you can call and block bet two streets for showdown but thats just donking chips into a better hand.

 Wow I've never layed down aces on a uncooridinated board like this before. You'd be surprised how many times Villain has flipped over some garbage like QT....especially at $25NL.

If he had a set, then on the turn he just hit a boat, or quads, so why would he be raising that hard with a made hand? I think he would slow down a bit. It feels like Top Pair to me....hey maybe he even has a slowplayed KK overpair.

I didnt like folding the turn either, but it just felt like a set because of the timing of his bets - pause to call 3-bet, insta-push turn. it made me think he was over-excited about his hand, and it seems like that happens more often at low limits then someone getting over-aggressive with moderate stuff like top pair or bluffs, although a 3x reraise on the flop would've given better info. Anyway I've got to stop doing weak stuff like this.

this seems like a good example of how AA wins small pots and loses large ones...the two better lines of reraising 3x on the flop then check/folding (or almost stacking off), or calling the flop and block bet turn/river (maybe stacking off) both take me down the path of playing for a big pot OOP where I should fold to a push.
