No stats, no reads on CO. MP2 is a solid tagg I've played with a lot, capable of floating, bluff raising, etc. I've been aggressive at this table.
Do you lead this turn? As played?

I hate the idea of mucking, but that is a total set line.

i see a desperate drawing hand. fold or push, i push.
i can't see villain slowplaying here on a huge drawing board aainst two opponents . this is hardly a +ev decision on the flop.

Slowplaying a set on the flop would be a +EV decision, since Hero isn't representing a drawing hand MOST of the time when he leads out with a bet that would be a marginal call with a drawing hand. So, calling that bet (when you can assume villan isn't on a drawing hand) is +EV since you will probably face another bet from a weaker hand on the turn than by raising and defining your hand when you are already so far ahead and risk losing your opponent. He raises the turn with a set because if he calls he probably isn't extracting too much more money from hero other than with a small value bet. This is the only chance villan has to convince hero he might be bluffing. This is a set line, and very likely is not a drawing hand.

Flop: J 9 5 ($27, 3 players)
Hero bets $20, MP2 calls, CO calls.
I missed that, and it does change the hand. Now i would call.

It does make a big difference. Seems unlikely a set would flat call on this drawy board.

What did you think he had when he raised the turn Zook?
Did you push?

I didn't know. I figured an unknown's range was KK/QQ/J9s/set/draw... I was pretty confused b/c of the flop action. I pushed and he showed JJ.
I think he played this badly, b/c I could have found a fold to this line (or if the flush hit), but would almost never find one if he pushes the flop.
