Decided to limp since it was a wery agressive table, figuring id catch somebody with theyr pants down!

Knew Balip was full of it, was abit conserned about royal_flushs call though, so figured I might as well just take it down right there with a big raise. Was surpriced to get a call.

Turn (board: 8s 4d Th Ts):

Kiriath checks. royal_flush bets $23.50. Kiriath

I didnt like that river, but figured since he flat out called both the previous raises on the flop he had to have two pair or a set ( gulp ), but since he made such a huge raise I figured he either had two broken pairs, betting in desperation, or was just full of it. So I called =D

River (board: 8s 4d Th Ts 6h):

Kiriath bets $.50. royal_flush goes all-in for $3.70.

Why do you consider hand 2 a success? A re raise pre flop flop picks you up chips, a real bet on the flop gets you even more chips... you have the best hand right now but it's vunerable, make a real bet here. I hate the check too but if you're going to check raise, for gods sake check raise. What hand did you see him folding for 100 more?

To summarize:

Pre flop - could have won 120 chips or so
Flop - could have won 200 chips
Turn/River... I shudder to think what you were planning on doing had he not disconnected and had raised you here... at the least you've turned plus 200 into minus 270 - why would you bet when the worst possible card comes off (short of maybe the 9c)?

figured he would call the turn bet with a weak queen or so, but ya, I got realy lucky he disconnectet =D Else id prolly lost a reraise as well as the raise on the river =)

About the whole play I just like slowplaying aces, and yea, I DO lay em down sometimes =) Just that it got potential for a huge pot instead of just picking up the blinds in a early round of a sng, ( wich is worthless imo ).
