 Opponents like to limp medium pairs in any position and are fairly liberal on all streets. I intended to C/R the flop but felt it would be a terrible play to check/3bet the flop.

 I make it 11$ preflop and c-bet the flop.

As played on flop I might check raise turn/lead river if he checks behind turn. Flop action suggests an overpair just as much as the dreaded monster imho.

As played on turn I think I like a river check fold better than a block bet.

And I generally think it's okay to go broke against flopped boats when the flop is all low cards.

I think check/raising turn would be a spew given that the card is a king. He cannot bet/call with hands I beat and he more than likely will even check behind with all hands i beat.

And on the flop I was more worried about a 5 than the boat. Since I didn't make a very big raise, there was a caller in front, and he had position, he could easily have 45s/56s here. Thus, I wasn't too worried about him smooth calling my turn bet with a hand that beat me since he'd likely want to get it in with his 5. I probably lost more value than what I gained from avoiding going broke though-this is the main reason I posted this. Anyone care to explain why they agree/disagree?

 I agree with the K being a scare card but I think he can bet that king with QQ-88. We haven't shown much strength at all and the K appears to be as scary for us as it is for him. When I think about it a turn c-c and a river c-c or c-f would be better plays as he will drop the hands we beat to a c-r and probably to a lead bet as well. So I take back the check-raise turn suggestion, it is poor advice.

This is a classic WA/WB situation, right? I think the only value we can get from worse hands on both turn and river is that we let him bet into us. If he bets into us on both streets, depending on what you mean with "fairly liberal" we can either call or fold the river. If the hand is checked down on the turn and river then I don't think he would have called any bets anyway (and if you think he would then a block bet on river is goot).

If we bet the turn, as played, and are called then I don't like the idea of betting the river because there is no way he'll call with anything we beat. He's going to raise with a 5 or a boat and fold everything else (save for a random K but how likely is that?). So a river bet is only going to cost us money, while a c-c will let us pick off bluffs for the same price.
