I limp aces very close to never, but I still have that habit of limping those baby PP's. Does this play have any merit? It's not standard for me by any stretch of the imagination. Both villains seem tightish, 2nd one is tight with his raises, and almost certainly has QQ/KK imo.
PokerStars No-Limit Hold'em, $1.00 BB (8 handed) FTR converter on zerodivide.cx
MP1 ($116.60)
MP2 ($92.85)
CO ($102.25)
Button ($41.70)
SB ($190.35)
BB ($36.90)
Hero ($124.95)
UTG+1 ($128.75)
Preflop: Hero is UTG with A , A .
Hero calls $1, 2 folds, MP2 raises to $6, 2 folds, SB raises to $12, 1 fold, Hero raises to $124.95.............

If SB is not capable of recognizing the play, and is not capable of folding KK/QQ anyway, it's good.
Otherwise, if they both fold...it's still good - I'm not unhappy with winning 18 BB preflop...and the added benefit of a possible lookmeup bonus later on.

I feel slightly sick whenever someone makes this play at the 25nl level. Thats probably because TONS of people do it and its a totally obvious play. I'm not sickened because they've taken the pot from me, more like sickened because I could have made gobs more money with that hand in his position.
That being said, this is definitely a powerful move, particularly at your stakes, when used very rarely IMO. Was this an aggressive table? I wouldn't dare make this play unless there were constant raising and reraising every hand.

Yeah was about to type this. I raise to $30-35. I think by pushing you let both villians play perfect poker, and get away too easy from KK.

results: MP2 went into the tank and folded, SB went into the tank and called with QQ. The nuts ended up on the board so we split, but the important part is I got called by QQ which I think is just absolutely absurd. I may as well have been playing with marked cards my play is so transparent here....

It really depends on what I think of you.
If I think, you think MP1 will call, then I would call here with only AA. Otherwise, there is enough meta-game between us that KK has to pay this off. Against an unknown with your stats, I would laydown the Kings. Finally, if MP1 does call I think you need AA to make the over-call.
