Comments would be appreciated on the line I used to play my rockets with a one-tone flop. Looking back, I think I played this poorly.

I had no read on my opponent - never seen him before.

Should I have led out on the turn? Check-raised the turn? What if the opp's bet had been pot-size?

------------------------------------------
Hero - [Ac Ad], Early Position
Villain - Mid Position

PREFLOP
Hero raises 4x BB
Villain calls

FLOP [Js 7s 4s] - Pot is $11
Hero bets $10
Villian calls

TURN [Th] - Pot is $31
Hero checks
Villian bets $11
Hero calls

RIVER [Qh] - Pot is $53
Hero bets $10
Villain folds

I'm raising the turn too. HARD. I never give credit for a flopped flush until proven otherwise.

Your play on the turn was bad because you gave him a free card to draw out on you (if he wanted it). Since he raised you $11, to me that looks like a, "Hey, I still need one more card to make my flush but I hope you fold thinking I'm betting a made flush already." I check raise the crap out of the guy there and he either a) folds, or b) gets horrible odds on hitting his flush, or c) he lets you know he's got a flush and you know where you stand.

These plays are tough, though, if you bet hard on the turn and he calls...and another flush card doesn't hit, do you bet or slow down? I'm not sure, depends on reads there I guess.
