Villain is a solid regular, aggressive post-flop, but nothing special from what I've observed. Stats are 21/8/2.8 over a large sample. He probably knows that I'm more aggro pre-flop than most regulars, but I haven't 3-bet him in this session that I can remember. After the pre-flop call and flop flat call, I put him on AK/KK/TT/99 less likely KQ/KJ/KT. Turn play?

You are PHUKKED!!!
edit: how does AK call a 3bet, knowing that either he is screwed direly by rockets/cowboys or at best he's up against rival AK or queens (if we're wishful). What, someone ejaculates preflop with AQ??? NO way man. You say villain is solid, he's solid enough to know that 3 bet ~ AK, QQ+ in all likelihood.
Then, when AK hits top pair (good v. QQ only) he merely CALLS. That's weak as hell. Nah.
When someone reveals they have a nicee (by 3 betting) the only hand a player-with-a-brain calls with is something that can outdraw due to implied odds. Ex: opponent "i have KK/AA maybe QQ!", hero calls with 78s, 55, etc. The LAST hand you want when villain screams monster is Ax. You lay infinite reverse implied odds (AK v. AA/KK, if a ace / king flops oopsie, or funnier yet, flop of AKx).
If this guy doesn't beat a pair on the turn, *I'll* pay you the pot.

You make some good points. And I appreciate the offer to pay me the pot. I'll let you know what you owe me after a few more replies

This is wrong though. In this case, villain is solid enough, and has played with me enough, to know that my 3-betting range in a resteal situation might be as wide as AJo+/ATs+/KQs/88+.

Villan is probably holding 1 of 5 hands after PF and Flop play:
9-9, 10-10, K-K, A-K, K-Q
Obviously if we were to assign each hand an identical probability, you would be in trouble.
To be fair, villan would most likely have A-K or K-Q, then either 10-10/9-9, and least likely K-K (assuming he doesn't frequently trap).
If villan is holding A-K he will call two more streets (as i recall a simialr scenario occured in one of your recent posts zook).
If he is holding either of the setted pocket pairs he will likely raise the turn.
If he is holding K-Q/ K-K he will likely raise the turn.
I think the best plan is to bet out 1/2 pot on turn and see if villan raises you or not. If he calls you can extract one more bet out of him on the river.
Check/ fold isn't a terrible idea either.

lol
i dont know whether to laugh or puke.
People playing these games do not *just* reraise big pairs...especially when defending a blind against a player who is probably a regular blind theif.
