initial raiser is a relative unknown, but i presume quite bad due to stack size. The cold caller is a nit like 11/7. I wondering if I should check flop to get donk to stick it in or just bet? This is not an OMG I got coolered thread.

$0.25/$0.5 No Limit Holdem
8 players
Converted at weaktight.com

Stacks:
UTG ($45.50)
UTG 1 ($63.75)
MP1 ($25.65)
MP2 ($33.00)
CO ($39.95)
BTN ($49.25)
SB ($49.50)
Hero ($65.95)

Pre-flop: ($0.75, 8 players) Hero is BB
2 folds, MP1 raises to $1.50, MP2 calls $1.50, 1 fold, BTN calls $1.50, 1 fold, Hero raises to $8, MP1 calls $6.50, MP2 folds, CO says "hmm..", BTN calls $6.50

Flop: ($25.75, 3 players)
Hero ($57.95)?

I like a checkraise here, as the mp1 donk will likely shove all in with any pair in this spot and the button will then call him with a ton of hands that has mp1 beat, but that you have crushed. conversely if you just come out all guns blazing your really representing strength and itl result in mp1 folding alot of hands he was going to get it in with if you checked, same applies to btn as i cant see him putting any more money in here if you lead out unless he has a strong q,draw,or has you beat, compared to when you check hell put more money in against mp1 with a weaker range just putting you on a failed squeeze.

I lead 18 to avoid the bet/f from AQ, check/check from missed hands and free heart draws that lol-soulrape you on a heart turn. Basically, I just bet to avoid future frowny faces and capitalize on today's smiley faces.

Smithers, use the amnesia ray.
You mean the revolver, sir?
Precisely.

yep. tbh i don't think it makes much of a difference what you do as long as you don't fold.

With both players in this would mean a bet of about $5 or $6. Do you still agree with that?

I think small bets are good HU and on non-ultra wet boards but with 2 guys I'm firing a bigger bet. I'd probably make it like just over half pot and call a shove.

i thought everyone was deeper, i'd just go 13 or so

miffed i don't think i'd ever bet air here, but this is 50nl and balance isn't as important as protecting a vulnerable hand in a big pot
