I bet this flop, and yes, you lose value by not reraising on this river. What range do you put your opponent on that you are behind enough not to push this river? Post some reads.

You have given us no reads so its hard for us to put villain on a hand, and I find it hard to believe that we are only going to be up against AA here.

My reads on this guy is that he is a solid Tagg, every time i have seen him raise pf, he has cbet the flop, albeit i have only seen hu pots or in pots where it looks obvs he has caught a piece. Therefore, i was very suspicious of his flop check, as i was pretty sure he would be betting with AK, AQ, or any toerh ace because of the flush draw out there. So, when he ddin't and smooth called turn, i became suspicious. BUt its also possible he had QQ or KK here.

On the river, its possible he had a lower fh with 66s or something, and i strongly considered simply calling the raise. i thought a higher boat Aces full of something was out of the question. But, something was screaming at me that calling would be losing value, so i pushed.

sry if i ddin't make my thoughts very clear/.

The flop was very pretty, definitely donk betting it here.

The turn is an amazing work of art.

There is no way I am not 3betting this river (or calling a push for that matter).

You ran into a cooler

Post this stuff in your original post, almost all of your posts just show a raw hand history. You should always post reads with your hands as it changes a lot, converting or using emoticons doesnt hurt either.

Anyways though, this really seems like results oriented thinking, I really dont think its reasonable to put him only on quads. How many pots have you seen him be the PFRer that make it to the flop? Without playing thousands of hands with a villain you really wont know how he responds to all situations, you can only get a general picture. We know that since he is solid he has a very strong hand here, or atleast a hand he perceives to be very strong. It could easily be a set of 6s turned a boat, or even trip aces played very weirdly. Maybe he even had KK, checked behind on the flop and called your bet on the turn thinking it unlikely you had aces and then raised your small river bet thinking he was ahead. Yea, AA makes sense, but I cant help but think you are being very results oriented here.

Why didnt you bet this flop?

ok you lose a stack here. I keep saying it at the moment but at these stakes with this hand if you dont lose a stack you didnt play it right IMHO.

Buddy list him. His flop check behind is terrible, and he proves that he's an amateur by bragging about having quads before calling the river.

I don't hate your play, but I think leading this flop most of the time is best. River I probably play the same without a hell of a read.

He would have to be about a 10/1 over like 1000 hands to make me fold this. If he has quads so be it, say nh sir and know you played well.

You're behind AA and A9/A6/A2 (but those last ones are probably not in his range?). And ahead of a whole bunch of hands. Normally I'd say this is perfectly ok to go broke on.. but your read, that should always take preference. If your gut feeling tells you this particular guy wouldn't take that line without the stone cold nuts, calling is perfectly fine imho. Reads overrule standard plays any day of the week. You say you suspected something was up, him being capable of having AA, but also QQ or KK. (if he spiked an A on say AK, he would have cbet 100% of the time?) And QQ/KK won't call a river allin anyway, right?

Again, nothing wrong with your play imho, but trusting your read could have saved you $100 here..
