Villain has seemed pretty loose pf, limping with a wide variety of hands

I'm guessing he had JT (or overset)? Otherwise I don't see why there would be anything wrong with this play.. you can't get away from getting stacked if he did have that.

jt, but given how loose hed been playing, i though two pair like q9, or q7 were poss, along with like kq w/ or w/out fd

and i still had fh redraw against a st8

The only thing I'd do differently this hand is make it 2.50 to go preflop and then bet $5 on the flop. All-in-all I would want to be allin and that's what happened. nh.

Yep. You played fine. My "read" on his hand was because you bothered to post it.. if you stack him here it would be standard stuff. A bit back I flopped 6 sets in 2 days.. two were vs a flopped straight, two were vs flopped oversets, one was against a flopped flush.. only one was clean (wtf are the odds?..). I sucked out vs the flush though, that was nice. This kinda stuff really eats your profits, but it happens..

Even if he had those hands, against villains range would this be a bad play?

Yea, thats the same here, Id raise preflop a little more and bet that flop harder.
