68o in the sb,cutoff and utg are loose preflop with starting hands and loose post flop by calling way too easily,so i figure im getting halfway decent implied odds preflop as well as post flop hoping to flop a straight draw or better.Missed what I wanted but hit top pair/weak kicker.Button is aggressive raising preflop alot and betting or raising post flop alot UNTIL he is raised himself, then he slows down and becomes a c-station instead of 3 betting.Cutoff is a calling station period.Do u check, check raise,or bet the flop and WHY?Then as played do u fold, call or raise button and WHY?

Again, consider posting in the high stakes forum.

I probably play it similarly. I'm confused about your read on BU though...is he a calling station, or aggressive (specifically when he doesn't have much)? You seem to be saying he is both, which sounds very very odd to say the least.

As far as the why: I bet to try to define my hand and/or take down the pot. We've said there are some loose calling players, so with the drawish board, I expect to be paid a bit by draws from one of them. I fold because a player we've at least partially defined as a calling station is showing strength. Most of the time when a calling station raises, he has a decent hand IMO.

Ty for the reply jeff, and as you can see i edited my post to try and clearify what kind of player i define button being.I was tryin to be more specific about what i knew of him.Which was that he is aggressive raising alot of hands preflop and betting and raising alot of hands postflop,BUT* when he is raised,he tends to call unbelieavably light,in other words he really doesnt 3 bet.Overall hes aggressive i guess u would say.As far as not posting in the high stakes forum im posting here because #1 im asking beginner questions, and #2 ill get more replies here because there is simply more lower stakes players than higher stake players that Im confident in giving me decent to great advice.I hope that is ok and my post r welcome here.TY

You're definitely welcome to post here. My only concern was that there might be player specific or level specific considerations that get ignored here. The average 5/10 player is not the same as the average .25/.50 player.

it's a somewhat drawy board, but you dont want to play a big pot here in this unraised pot. youre probably flipping or behind a heart draw anyway. you took your stab, he raised, just let him have it.
youre asking very basic questions, you should definitely play lower stakes until you learn more. (sorry 5/10 players)
