Villain is 17/5 over 500 hands or so and seems pretty aggressive. Just looking for general advice here as to how I played this and whether to fold, call or shove. Thanks.

Hope you don't mind me explaining my thinking at the time to see if I'm on the right lines:
I'm thinking I only have 77 or 22 to fear (unless he is slow playing JJ-AA or called a pf raise with 78s or something), and surely he would shove with those?

your beat, fold, and its not just quads in his range, he plays 17 percent of hands so a ton of 7x hands are in his range also, furthermore he wouldnt play big pairs this way.
"This sure beats Super Mario Bros.!" is my ejaculation catch phrase.

in that case i guess he never calls a raise out of the bb with 7x suited etc EVER, i stand corrected. My point is he isnt that tight, and a 7 is definitely in his range though your right in that I over estimated how wide his range was, my bad.
