PokerStars No-Limit Hold'em, $0.50 BB (9 handed) Poker-Stars Converter Tool from FlopTurnRiver.com (Format: FlopTurnRiver)

saw flop|saw showdown

CO ($54.90)
Hero ($49.25)
SB ($49.50)
BB ($120.15)
UTG ($63.70)
UTG+1 ($51.25)
MP1 ($97.40)
MP2 ($60.60)
MP3 ($50)

Preflop: Hero is Button with J, J.
1 fold, UTG+1 raises to $2, 3 folds, CO calls $2, Hero raises to $10, 2 folds, UTG+1 calls $8, CO calls $8.

Flop: ($30.75) T, 6, 5 (3 players)
UTG+1 checks, CO checks, Hero checks.

Turn: ($30.75) 2 (3 players)
UTG+1 bets $19, CO folds, Hero folds.

Final Pot: $30.75

Standard? I was pretty surprised when he called my 3bet. His range is most likely (?) JJ+/AK (maybe more likely AA/KK), this is a simple snapfold, right? I figured betting flop was the best way to value town myself, so I decided to see what he did on the turn. Fwiw, he probably views me as 12/8.

How terrible is CO?

The sick part of this hand is that with CO in the mix he should be flatting AA/KK.

I would just go all-in on the flop.

why 3 bet if a spoon call means you shut down?

Smithers, use the amnesia ray.
You mean the revolver, sir?
Precisely.

this

I mean your line is incoherent, if you're not shoving this flop you shouldn't be 3-betting.

QQ+ when he calls the 3bet. Possibly AK.

Thought I was probably ahead pf. His call changed my thoughts.

So I shouldn't be worried about value-towning myself vs higher overpairs ever?

Alright.

What about if I have QQ or AK (regarding preflop)? I only ask b/c I do 3b JJ pf often here, which seems to be bad, so I'm wondering if I should be 3betting AK/QQ.

If you have history with him (I know I play a lot goofier with FTR regs- ask Setzy) then get it in pre with AK and QQ. I flat with them sometimes pre vs unknowns.

pre-flop 3-bet only if you are happy to c-bet a dry flop. If you had TT you would be c-betting, right?
otherwise check behind.
As played you are begging to have the pot taken away from you on the turn.
