Ok first off this guy was just terribad.
But in theory if the Villain was a good player with a full stack. What is our play on the turn? Do we bet half pot to induce a bluff raise? Or check because I think lots of floaters will try to take us off an overpair here

why would you do anything other than bet a standard amount here
you don't need him to put in a raise to build the pot, all you need to do is bet and bet again.
