Pre-flop: (6 players) Hero is Button with 8♥ 8♣
2 folds, CO calls, Hero calls, SB folds, SB folds, BB raises to $2, CO calls, Hero calls.


Flop: 9♦ 8♦ T♦ ($6.25, 3 players)
BB bets $2.5, CO calls, Hero raises to $11, BB calls, CO folds.


Turn: T♣ ($30.75, 2 players)
BB checks, Hero checks.


River: 6♥ ($30.75, 2 players)
BB bets $15, Hero raises all-in $42.25, BB folds.
Uncalled bets: $27.25 returned to Hero.


Results:
Final pot: $60.75

I can't believe how badly I played this hand. It's a tricky situation, but how should I have played it, esspecially on the flop???

b-rabbit is an unknown quantity at this point
the turn was your money card. if hes on the flush draw (or straight draw, or if he has the 10) he still calls a range of bets on the turn...so i say bet the turn, maybe 1/2-3/4 pot. he calls on a drawing hand.

overall results can't complain about
i think you played the flop fine
do the right thing.

Hmm yeah boat odds to improve are good- plus most of the time villain will be on a draw... raise works. When villain checks turn he's either drawing or slowplaying a big flush (less likely). Betting is good v. both. You did get a bluff on the river anyway.
