Villain is unkown. The problem is that I do not understand what the idea is of donk betting into me. The only somewhat sound reason I can come up with is that he's trying to block bet either a draw or a weak pair, but I'm sure some % of players do this for value.
So that's why I have a pretty hard time putting him on a range. I'm so lost in that hand, I wouldn't be surprised if you told me to fold call or raise frankly.
On the flop most hands that he could be block betting have a T, so I guess that puts him more in the weak J, 99, 89, 78, 77 range. I'm really in the dark here. I wouldn't be surprised if he turns over AJ or a set on the river.
If I didn't catch the oesd on the turn, I would have folded to the turn bet putting him on a weak Jack.
On the river I don't know what he has but I'm pretty sure I'm beat... something like KJ, QJ, JT, 99

When I put him on a generous enough range to make this a good call on the river, I'd have to include 9T, 89, 77, 66 - and I'm not sure how likely those are compared to Jx.
The strengh of a hero is defined by the weakness of his villains.

If I call the flop and turn I'm calling this river every time. Otherwise just fold the flop. Usually if I have air I'll raise when they donk weak and if I have showdown like this I might call or fold depending on villain.

I think this is value betting as villain has T9 and believes he is ahead on the turn.

I played a similar hand at these stakes today where villain donked into me on the flop with OESD and then hit top pair on the turn -- his line was exactly like this, except he donked the flop, I popped him, he snap called it and donked the turn and river. I called him down with an overpair (board was paired, flush and straightening by turn).

Because our equity is hurting against his 3bet calling range and he probably folds everything we have smoked, i would advise against this.

I think this is an 8 or a 910 or Q10 type hand a lot.
44/88/JJ would probably bet more on turn to protect.
Getting 3:1 I would call and make a note

So you don't think the villains range changes after he has bet 3 streets as opposed to donking into me on the flop?

I appreciate anyones advice but please give a reason.
Same goes for the "raise/fold flop" guy.
