Preflop: Hero is MP2 with A, J. Hero posts a blind of $0.50.
2 folds, MP1 calls $0.50, Hero (poster) checks, 1 fold, Button calls $0.50, SB completes, BB checks.

Flop: ($2.50) T, 8, 7 (5 players)
SB bets $1.5, BB folds, MP1 folds, Hero calls $1.50, Button folds.

Turn: ($5.50) T (2 players)
SB checks, Hero ???

No read on the SB, as this is my first hand on the table.

What's your move on the turn?

youve been given a free card when you need it so take it, its hardly a big pot is it?

With no reads Im checking behind here, actually with reads Im not sure how Id play it differently.

Miffed, what situations would make betting the turn good?


Oh, and as a side note, dont post in MP or atleast dont make a habit out of it.

Its a good hand for table image. To be honest id have raised the flop bet because i probably have at least 13outs and perhap as many as 15/19.
I raise simply because i think a lot of players bet into us here looking for weakness and will probably call the raise on the flop anyway looking for weakness later (in which case we can two barel) The lead could also be a draw played badly oop
The other option is that that flop raise buys us a free card on the turn or lets us fold opp by betting and showing strength again.
Most often i want to play a fair sized pot here becasue of all the outs. Having said that, if opp lead into us and tp paired on the turn its a possibly dangerous card for us in which case as played i wouldnt second barrel this turn id check behind hoping to catch.

1) posting here is kind of a waste.

2) You were fortunate enough to have a hand here and somebody limps ahead of you, raise it up preflop.

3) As played, not really sure if I like a raise or a call on the flop to be honest. With so many people in the pot and SB's awkward stack size, I don't mind the call here. I normally jam big draws like this but this is fine. I don't dislike a raise, though.

4) I'd probably just check the turn. You a lot of possible outs, some of which are better then others, you don't know which ones are good, and none of them are to the nuts. Take the free card and play the river according to card and action.

Try to post on the CO next time;LP at the earliest.Don't waste BB posting OOP in MP and def not EP(*gag*).

Preflop:A call or raise is fine;most people won't respect your raise anyways since you psoted OOP with one limper so if anything they will read you for a steal and play back at you on the flop.

Flop:A call or raise is fine.

Turn: Check is ok;with a tight/passive scared I may bet.
