villain was very loose pre-flop. postflop seemed standard.
On the river I felt I was good and wanted to make villain pay (maybe I overbet it however), but his raise seemed to me like AJ, A3 or air ...

gingerwizard is an unknown quantity at this point
smells like trap checking to me. With a paired board you see at least 3x most of the time here. I check behind the river and as played fold.
